Abstract: Presented a new natural hazard database for the Republic of Georgia (GeNHs). Database includes a parametric catalogs of five types of natural hazard events (landslide, debris flow, flash flood, windstorm, and hailstorm) causing significant economic loss and casualties in Georgia over the last decades and centuries, respectively. The compilation of catalogs of these events is innovative as the entire country is covered, and it is timely and may be used by civil protection, risk managers and other stakeholders in order for natural hazards and risks management, as well as decision-making with respect to effective and efficient mitigation measures. The catalog is compiled with the financial support of Shota Rustaveli Science Foundation Grant № FR-21-1808; წარმოდგენილია საქართველოს რესპუბლიკის ბუნებრივი საშიშროებების ახალი მონაცემთა ბაზა (GeNHs). იგი მოიცავს ხუთი ტიპის ბუნებრივი საშიშროების მოვლენების (მეწყერი, ღვარცოფი, წყალმოვარდნა, გრიგალური ქარი და სეტყვა) პარამეტრულ კატალოგს, რომლებმაც გამოიწვია მნიშვნელოვანი ეკონომიკური ზარალი და მსხვერპლი საქართველოში ბოლო ათწლეულებისა და საუკუნეების განმავლობაში, შესაბამისად. ამ მოვლენების კატალოგების შედგენა ინოვაციურია, რადგან ფარავს მთელ ქვეყანას, დროულია და შეიძლება გამოყენებულ იქნას სამოქალაქო დაცვის, რისკების მენეჯერების და სხვა დაინტერესებული მხარეების მიერ ბუნებრივი საშიშროებების და რისკების მართვის, ასევე გადაწყვეტილების მიღებისთვის და ეფექტური და ქმედითი შემარბილებელი ღონისძიებების გატარებისთვის. კატალოგი შედგენილია შოთა რუსთაველის სამეცნიერო ფონდის ფინანსური მხარდაჭერით გრანტი № FR-21-1808

The data of the ground based hydrometeorological network and satellite observations of the Earth Observation Mission are used. The impact of climate change on the number of sectors of the country's economy (construction industry, tourism, healthcare, education and others) has been evaluated. The monograph has both scientific and practical value. The monograph is intended for specialists working in this field and the wide society. It can be used as the supplementary handbook for students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of higher education institutions. Abstract: In the book a new synthesis of 44 earthquakes for each of which parameters such as date, location, magnitude and focal depth are summarized. The detailed description of the individual earthquakes enables the reader, on the bases of citations of historical descriptions, to obtain an overview on basic quantities of information used for individual events. Furthermore, the reasoning for the individual intensity classification is justified.
