Description:	The article deals with Kartvelian and Abkhazian vocabularies related to see, as well as word adoptions revealed in both languages. Explored material is presented by semantic groups. The works considers navigation terms (Megr. ნიში – Abkh. ა-ნჷშ „Boat“, Kartv. ტივი – Abkh. ატივ...), terms referring to fish species and fishery tools (Kartv. ტოფი / ტობი – Abkh. ა-ტოფ, Megr. ღაჭაჭია – Abkh. ა-დაღაჭია / ა-დჷღაჭია / ა-დაღაჭა / აღაჭჭჷჲა / ა-ღაჭაჭია „Crayfish“... Megr. დარჩი – Abkh. ა-დარჩ / ა-დარაჩ „Conical fishing basket“, Megr. კუნო Abkh. ა-კ°ანა „fishig basket, corf“, Megr. ქუფე – Abkh. ა-ქ°ჷფა „Conical fishing basket“...), as well as other terms related to sea and water (Kartv. კენჭი – Abkh. ა-კ ანჭ, Kartv. ლეკი – Abkh. ალჷკ „Silt, mud“, Kartv. ფონი – Abkh. ა-ფან / ა-ძაფან „Ford“).
